Brother Lawrence,
If a person loves the Lord they will love His Word and His commands will not be a burden to them.
John 7:24 says, Judge righteous judgement. So I have a few questions for you:
1. Have you judged rightly about our political views and motives?
2. By your defensive comments I deduct that you support Obama, why?
3. If you support Obama, can you give us some reasons why we should support him?
4. Why should we stay out of politics? We have just as much investment in this country and it’s future as anyone else. Maybe the next time we talk politics you could call the show and express your views, we would be happy to hear them.
5. Why the personal attack without any substance or proof of something we have done wrong?

Here are some clear and present issues I judge righteously that Obama should not be our President. Please keep in mind these are moral issues and that is why they should be important to every Christian:

1. Obama voted four times against BAIPA in the Illinois legislature as a junior senator. BAIPA is the ‘Born Alive Infant Protection Act’. This would allow doctors to medically treat babies that are born alive after an attempted abortion to keep them alive. Four times Obama said, NO to the little innocent babies. This is incredible! What is more incredible is that most of the population in the US including many ‘professing Christians’ don’t think this is an important moral issue either. This is infanticide the President elect approves of, SHAAAAAME on him and everyone that voted for him.

2. It has been revealed since Aug 21, 2008, when P. Berg, Esq a lifelong democrat from PA, that Obama may not be a ‘natural born citizen’. This is a requirement for all Presidential candidates from the US Constittion, the supreme law of the land. Obama has basically ignored this federal lawsuit, failing to produce the required documents, to the point of creating a Constitutional crisis. If this is actually true then Mr. Obama has lied to his country and betrayed their trust. Obviously, how could we trust him with anything? Here on two key moral questions; a. the worth of every living creature b. the moral integrity of the candidate himself. It has been shown that Mr. Obama does not deserve this very highest office entrusted to him by the majority of the American people. There are many other issues that have been ignored by mainstream media and many professing Christians, but I defer from addressing them for brevity’s sake.

Lastly Brother Lawrence, I would encourage you to examine yourself 2 Cor 13:5 Each one of us needs to look at our hearts, motives, words, and actions to see if they line up with God’s Word. If they don’t align with His Word, then we need to change our minds and repent. That is what I ask you to do sir, change your mind about this unqualified President elect.

I love my Lord as much as anyone, but I am just ashamed of some of the things you say. Please stay out of politics. You’d do so much better if you kept the nonsense, intellectually-vacant talk and stuck to the good word.

SIGN Testimony:

I remember teaching a discipleship class once and the guy on the front row asked if i happened to be the “one” that was standing outside of his school one day with a big 3′ X 6′ SIGN. I confirmed the details and it confirmed being ME.

He said he was one of the guys standing on the sideline “kind-of” mocking me for what I was doing –

He ended up getting led to the Lord by his sister, got right with the Lord, and about six months later ended up “by accident” NOW being in my five-day discipleship class!

Out of a city of 16 million people, what are the chances of that happening??

He went on to do a four year Bible school in the Philippines and as far as I am aware is STILL doing OK with the Lord.

You “never know” what kinds of seeds are being planted when you “get out” with a SIGN – the BIGGER the BETTER!

Eternal security is conditional upon repentance, faith, and persevere unto the end! It is so simple to understand and so clearly read in the Bible, it is a wonder there has ever been such a debate over this issue!

I would encourage all of our listeners not to be ashamed of such bold tactics as using; signs, banners, bullhorns, buttons, or tee shirts. God’s word will not return void and we never know in the natural what the Holy Spirit might do with someone who is convicted by these methods. We do know that this strategy often brings throngs of people around to listen to the proclamation of God’s Word. Saints, let’s get out there and publish God’s Word as many ways as we can! Amen.

William, the seeming dichotomy, between Jesus’ yoke being light and striving to enter the narrow gate is resolved with the understanding that we are yoked together with Jesus whom we desire to please. No matter the trial or difficulty striving to enter this narrow way of holiness, our burden is light with Him cooperating by His Holy Spirit.
